Mr Manish Laxman Patil
Club President
Rotarian Manish Laxman Patil, Born on 29 December 1972, to Laxman Vishnu Patil and Sanjeevani Laxman Patil. My parents left me a rich legacy of honesty and justice, which have been my life’s guiding principle’s. My humble beginning and days were often spent playing simple village games that taught me the value of the simple things in life. With my father being a judge, I got to travel to many places in Maharashtra during my school days and thus taught me make new friends wherever I stayed. We came to Thane in the 1980s and since then the gypsy in me found a home to belong to and I thus became a Thaneite. Thane is where I found my roots to who I have become and I completed my schooling at St. John the Baptist High school and further completed my Diploma in Industrial Electronics from VPM’s Polytechnic. During my years in college, I had an urge to do something for children with special needs. That’s what caused a burning desire to take an active part in organising a fundraiser for St. John the Baptist school for special kids, Thane, many years ago. This effort continued for almost 3 years, after which I started supporting children by donating to the Cry Foundation, but urge to do more, kept driving me to explore new avenues. After a few years, I met Rotarian Ashish Vaidya, through my elder brother Dinesh Patil and the rest as they say is history. My journey with Rotary started, on 22nd February 2011, when I was officially inducted in Rotary under President Rtn Ulhas Dandekar. Rotary gave me an opportunity to fulfil my distant dreams and to successfully conduct army recruitment camps at Wada under the tall and robust leadership of MAJ. Subhas Gawandji for almost 3 years; I also took an active part in blood donation camps, and other projects.
